![]() The Playon file is 2.26GB and the Audials file is 7.05GB. I can tell you that I recorded The Chronicles of Riddick from the Playon Cloud and Audials in 1080p. I record and delete movies unless I really like them and want to keep them. Once Audials gets their batch system working for all services I won't have a need for Playon unless hard drive space becomes an issue. Audials for high quality 1080p and Playon for their unlimited queue. Like I said, I use both because they each have a benefit I use. I would say try it out and see if it's a better fit. ![]() They have a trial that let's you work with everything they offer, unlike some company's that limit what you can do with their software trials. I'm worse on audio, I buy cheaper bluetooth headphones. I don't pixel peep or anything like that. To be honest, I'm not that much of a videophile or audiophile. They do have subtitle options that I haven't played with, but here's the FAQ link for that as well. Here's the link to their FAQ page on it. There is a very limited video editor in Audials where you can cut out ads and crop to get rid of the black bars if you want. I've been using Plex for my media server so I just download subtitles in there and set the delay. I've only played around with it for a couple of days, but I can tell you they have a plethora of formats for video and audio, I did see lossless in there. I don't use Cloud because of the gimmick 1080p recordings that aren't actually 1080p. If you want subtitles you'll have to either record them in the recordings or use something like Plex to download subtitles. Others you have to manually start the recordings. ![]() Less compression artifacting and records things in their native resolution, unlike Cloud that records in 1080p no matter the resolution of the video your watching.ģ: There is a queue like Playon, except it's limited to 3 services for now, I think Netflix, Disney+ and Prime. The recordings look as good as if you were watching it on your browser. My 2060 super hasn't gone above 60% using hardware acceleration.Ģ: With the highest settings, the quality is superior to both Home and Cloud, in my opinion. I have Audials running in the background with it's internal browser and use chrome to watch YouTube and have 15+ tabs open without anything pegged to 100%. I use Playon for my mom since she uses a 1080p monitor and doesn't care about quality, and I use Audials because the 720p from Home looks like utter crap on my 4K screen and the Cloud versions are way to over compressed.ġ: It can work in the background as long as either 1) you cap the resolution or choose lower settings or 2) have a good performing PC. There are pros and cons to both products depending on how you'd like to use them and how much hard drive space you have, depending on the settings you use. Third, I recommend trying Audials Movie 2022. Second, depending on if you really care about video quality, try a year of getting credits and see how many you use and keep track of what you pay, cause it may be more expensive than just getting an annual subscription for Home. The Cloud "1080p" version of the movie looked worse than the Home 720p version. I used Home(limited to 720p) to download a movie off of Hulu then the same movie at 1080p in the Cloud, because I know Hulu caps their streams to 720p on every browser. Unless the website allows for higher than 720p, don't waste your time getting the "1080p" version. First, don't be fooled by the "1080p" gimmick.
